Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd is back with a brand new contest that offers lucrative prizes to appreciate its customers. Known as the MUDAH MENANG CONTEST, it is open to all valid BHPetrol eCard members at participating BHPetrol service stations. The contest starts this month and will end on May 30, 2021.

To participate in this contest, customers only need to spend a minimum of RM30 on petrol or biodiesel products at any BHPetrol service station and/or purchase any items from participating BHPetromart stores during the contest period. Each purchase must be swiped with a valid registered eCard or scanned with the eCard mobile application. Each accumulated expenditure amounting to RM30 is entitled to 1 entry.

A total of 51 winners will receive prizes consisting of the Grand Prize of RM33,333 in cash plus 100,000 ePoint points for 3 winners; the Consolation Prize of RM3,333 Cash; and 30,000 ePoints for 3 winners. There are also Weekly Prizes of 100,000 ePoints points for 3 winners per week.

Additionally, there are Monthly Prizes specially for customers who use the eCard online application during the contest period. Two winners are eligible to receive one unit of iPhone 12 (64GB) or one unit of iPad Gen 8 each.

Money-saving offer for Ford owners from Sime Darby Auto ConneXion

In 2020, virtually everyone has experienced some effects of their personal financial situation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government has done its best to help in various ways and companies, though also impacted by a business slowdown, has also tried doing its part.

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, is helping Ford owners with money-saving initiatives and has announced its ‘Service Reward’ promotion which is on for 2 days. On September 1 and 2, 2020, 1,000 Service Reward vouchers will be on sale and these vouchers get up to 30% discount on after-warranty service costs.

The locations are Ford Ara Damansara, Ford Petaling Jaya 2, Ford Juru, Ford Butterworth, Ford Kuching, Ford Kota Kinabalu and Ford Tawau. The Renault Symbioz concept EV was conceived as a mobile home on wheels, with a multi-use cabin giving occupants a new motoring experience. It is an extended living space from the home, bringing the lounge atmosphere when on the move.

No sales tax exemption for pick-up trucks but you can still get savings on the Ford Ranger

When the government announced PENJANA (Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara), the RM35 billion short-term economic recovery plan, exemption of sales tax for new motor vehicles was among the incentives. However, to the disappointment of those who thought of buying a pick-up truck, the exemption did not cover such vehicles as they are classified as commercial vehicles. Perhaps because the government is giving other incentives to the commercial sector, they are making the exclusion.

Therefore, while passenger vehicles now have reduced prices with sales tax exempted (partial for imported CBU models) and the exemption will be maintained till the end of the year, pick-up truck prices have not changed.

However, if you buy a Ford Ranger, you can still save money at this time because Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) is offering rebates for popular pick-up truck. The offer is for three variants of the WildTrak, with rebates of up to RM7,188.

Those who choose the WildTrak and Ranger XL will receive cash rebates of up to RM7,000, while those who pick the Ranger XLT Plus can enjoy savings of RM7,188 (while stocks last).
