Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) selaku pengedar tunggal kenderaan Ford di Malaysia telah mengukuhkan lagi komitmen syarikat untuk memberdaya masyarakat Orang Asli melalui kerjasama kali kedua dengan Yayasan Keamanan Global (Global Peace Foundation) Malaysia. Kali ini, usaha bersama itu memberi tumpuan terhadap menyokong program OA-Eco Farm oleh GPF di empat perkampungan Orang Asli di Kuala Rompin, Pahang.
Program OA-Eco Farm merupakan usaha penanamaan makanan yang bertujuan untuk peningkatan sara diri serta meraih pendapatan mapan dalam kalangan keluarga Orang Asli. Ia menyediakan latihan praktikal, serta subsidi terhadap perkakas dan juga benih.
Disokong oleh sumbangan dana sebanyak US$10,000 (RM45,745) daripada dana tabung Ford Motor Company (Ford Motor Company Fund) yang merupakan sebuah badan kebajikan bagi Ford Motor Company, seramai 22 sukarelawan dari SDAC menyertai usaha berkenan bersama dengan pasukan GPF untuk melawat tiga perkampungan terlibat pada 9 Mac.
Turut dibawa bersama mereka ialah sumbangan benih, kelengkapan penanaman, peralatan dapur serta kesungguhan dan tenaga untuk turut membantu. Sukarelawan juga bekerja rapat dengan penduduk-penduduk di salah sebuah kampung untuk memasang kelengkapan panel solar untuk sistem pemagaran. Mereka juga terlibat dalam kerja-kerja pemugaran tanah, memotong rumput dan membangunkan batas sebelum proses pembenihan.

This partnership focuses on supporting GPF’s OA-Eco Farm program in four Orang Asli Villages in Kuala Rompin, Pahang.
The OA-Eco Farm program is a food farming initiative aimed at fostering self-sufficiency and sustainable income among Orang Asli families. It provides hands-on training, coaching, and subsidies for tools and seedlings.
With a generous contribution of US$10,000 (RM45,745) from Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, 22 staff volunteers from SDAC joined forces with the GPF team to visit the villages on March 9th. They brought donations of seedlings, farming equipment, kitchen tools, and enthusiasm.

The tour will take place at Queensbay Mall (Ground Floor, North Atrium) in Penang from 16th to 20th August. Later, from 20th to 24th September 2023, the Ford Experience Hub will be hosted at Setia City Mall in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Owners of Ford Ranger or Ranger Raptor cars in Sabah can now register for the Ranger Training Experience, which is scheduled to begin on July 23, 2023, at the Likas Complex Area in Kota Kinabalu from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
