BMW Malaysia Unveils Locally Assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport

In the wake of the resounding success of the BMW X5 in the Malaysian market in 2023, BMW Malaysia has given a sneak peek into the facelifted Plug-in Hybrid variant of their most successful premium Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV): the locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e. With the M Sport package as standard, the new BMW X5 xDrive50e promises significant updates in both performance and efficiency, embodying a blend of power and electric range that redefines modern athletic elegance.

The driving force behind the New BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport is its enhanced PHEV powertrain. It delivers a remarkable combined output of 489hp – a substantial 96hp more than its predecessor – and an upgraded 700Nm of torque. This powerhouse, consisting of a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine and a robust electric motor, propels the SAV from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The electric capabilities receive a boost, offering an electric range of up to 110km (WLTP) and an improved 7.4 kW of charging, ensuring a swift 0-100% charge in only 4.5 hours.

Inside the cabin, the X5 boasts a superbly crafted interior featuring a 14.9-inch BMW Curved Display with a fully digital display cluster. Enhanced by the advanced BMW Operating System 8.5, the display includes the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW instrument panel, supporting various interaction methods such as iDrive Controller, voice, touch, or optional Gesture Control. Standard features include an ambient Light Bar with a crystalline surface structure and a Harman Kardon Surround sound system. The restructured centre console now includes touch-sensitive function keys, with gear changes executed using a rocker switch.

Standard features for the SAV encompass BMW Comfort Access, Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Professional, and exterior colour options of Black Sapphire, Manhattan, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey. The interior upholstery, a member of the BMW Individual Extended Leather family, comes in two distinct colour options – Black and Tartufo, embodying the promise of athletic sophistication and modern luxury.

The estimated pricing for the new BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport is set at RM 530,000, positioning it as a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking a harmonious blend of performance, efficiency, and luxurious comfort in the premium SAV segment.

BMW Malaysia Offers Additional Aftersales Programmes

BMW Group Malaysia has unveiled a new aftersales program aimed at enhancing the Premium Ownership Experience for BMW Premium Selection (BPS) owners in Malaysia. This fresh initiative, known as the BPS Worry-Free Package, introduces extended warranty and service packages for customers.

In addition to the current five-year warranty, the new Extended Warranty Programme (EWP), insured by Allianz General Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd, provides consumers with an additional two-year limited warranty coverage for more peace of mind during their ownership journey. Instead of the conventional one-year warranty package, consumers will have the option to purchase a comprehensive two-year warranty package starting in September 2023.

Sabah Unveils State’s First Public EV Charging Facility

Great news for EV fans in Sabah! The first public EV charging station in Sabah has been launched by Regas Premium Sabah and is situated in the T1 @ Bundusan parking garage’s basement.

This not only promotes the use of EVs but also lines up with government incentives meant to boost environmentally friendly modes of transportation.

In order to create a charging network that is accessible, practical, and in step with the rising demand for environmentally friendly transportation across the country, Regas Premium Sabah has partnered with JomCharge, a well-known leader in the EV charging solutions market.

BMW Malaysia Launches The New X6 xDrive40i M Sport – RM754,800

BMW Malaysia seems to be on a roll. Just recently, the company launched the i4 eDrive35, the M2 Coupé, the iX M60 and now, BMW Malaysia has introduced an X6 facelift that only comes in a xDrive40i M Sport variant.

A few product improvements to the grille, headlights, and taillights as well as equipment upgrades are included in the Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) which is now in its third generation.

BMW Malaysia Introduces The First All-Electric BMW iX M60 – RM612,430!

Malaysians first saw the introduction of the BMW i and BMW M Performance models including the i4 M50 and the BMW XM in the first part of 2023. But it does not stop there.

Officially making its global debut in 2022, the all-electric BMW iX M60 SAV has been unveiled by BMW Malaysia in conjunction with the M4NTAP Festival 2023.

New MINI Charging Facility In Malacca Introduced

Just two kilometres from the famous Jonker Street, Seong Hoe Premium Motors, the longest-running BMW dealer in Malacca, has unveiled a new MINI Charging Facility to meet the growing demand for electrified vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the historic city to support both locals and out-of-state visitors.

BMW Group Malaysia Enhances Premium Ownership Experience

BMW Group Malaysia and Pentas Flora Sign MoU To Recycle Used Oil From Service Centres

In the automotive aftersales industry, waste products are unavoidable and over the years, the more responsible companies have ensured that the waste products are properly disposed and do not damage the environment. Local authorities also have strict regulations to ensure that waste products like used oil do not get into the public drainage system.

One of the companies which has stepped up its efforts in this area of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is BMW Group Malaysia which recently commemorated their partnership with Pentas Flora in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
