Save money when you buy a Ford Ranger Raptor or WildTrak this month

It’s that time of the year again when car companies want to make the festive season a more joyful one for you with money-saving offers if you plan on getting a new vehicle. Thanks to the coming of the Year of the Rat in conjunction with the Chinese New Year, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), which represents Ford in Malaysia, has attractive prosperity deals for the Ranger Raptor and Ranger WildTrak.

Until January 31, 2020, customers who purchase a Ford Ranger WildTrak or Ranger Raptor won’t have to pay for scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years (or maximum of 40,000 kms). Ang Pao worth RM2,000 and an exclusive Ford Performance Golf Umbrella are also included in the promotion.

During the same promotion period, the Ranger WildTrak will cost RM3,000 less with the cash rebate SDAC is offering. This can offset the downpayment, reducing the amount of the hire-purchase loan and therefore the monthly instalments.

Benchmark for pick-up trucks
Since being originally launched in the late 1990s, the Ranger has been a benchmark in the pick-up truck segment. Besides inspiring a trend to depart from the boring old utilitarian design, the Ranger also introduced, many class-leading safety features showing that Ford cared about the lives of its customers.

With the latest Ranger WildTrak, there are smart safety technologies which are on par with passenger cars. And of course, ‘Built Ford Tough’ capabilities ensure that the vehicle can take on any kind of terrain and provide many years of reliable service to its owner.

The Ranger Raptor – Malaysia’s first and only performance pick-up – will get the adrenalin gushing. It has Ford’s Performance DNA and features like the Terrain Management System, a huge Bash Plate underneath to protect against impacts and FOX Racing Shox dampers that will soak up the shocks from jumps.

Both variants, as with the rest of the Ranger line-up, come with a full manufacturer’s warranty of 3 years or maximum of 100,000 kms.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia to hold Instagram-exclusive sale on 12.12

The ‘12-12’ fever starts peaking tonight and Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is joining in the celebration of the ‘double 12’ date that is the theme of a shopping carnival.

VPCM will participate with a first-of-its-kind Instagram-exclusive sale on Instagram for just one day (24 hours). 12 units of the Volkswagen Polo with the JOIN accessories package and 12 units of the Beetle with a free spoiler and VW Tint will be sold on Volkswagen Malaysia’s Instagram shop (@volkswagenmalaysia) at RM12,000 less than the regular retail prices.

To enjoy the exclusive deals, customers need to place a booking fee of RM500 for the Polo or RM1,000 for the Beetle on the payment platform using a credit card. Once processed, customers will receive a call from a Volkswagen representative for arrangements on their preferred dealership and to complete the registration and delivery of the vehicle.

Volkswagen Polo and Beetle — Only 12 units of the Polo and Beetle with the free extras and RM12,000 discount will be available throughout Thursday (12.12). If you miss the opportunity to get one of them, you can still get the Polo with savings of up to RM6,000 and the Beetle with savings of up to RM5,000 but you must place a booking before December 31, 2019.

All Volkswagen models come with 3-years of free scheduled maintenance, a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty and 5-years of complimentary roadside assistance.

“Volkswagen Malaysia were pioneers in this when we partnered with Lazada to sell the special edition Beetle and Polo during their 12.12 sale the past two years. Both editions sold out almost immediately, and this year, we continue our trailblazing streak as the very first automotive brand in the country to sell products on Instagram. This is the first time an automotive brand is selling cars on its social media platform in Malaysia and Mr. Winter believes that purchasing a car online is now the new norm with the rise of e-commerce platforms.

VW and Lazada — Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has found that online shopping is popular even for cars and has been working with Lazada on a few occasions to offer special editions of its models. Last year, it offered 11 units of a Polo in a Black & White edition.

Three BMW dealerships to host BMW Year-End Expo 2019

Quill Automobiles, Ingress Auto and Wheelcorp Premium, which represent the BMW and MINI brands in the Klang Valley, will transform The Marquee at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre into the largest BMW and MINI dealership in the city centre this weekend (December 6 – 8). Low interest rates and rebates for Mitsubishi Triton, Outlander or ASX

From today until the end of 2019, special hire-purchase (H-P) loan interest rates as low as 0.88% per annum are available for those who want to buy a new Mitsubishi Triton. Alternatively, instead of the low interest rates, customers can opt for cash rebates of up to RM10,000 (depending on the variant).

This promotion is in conjunction with the upcoming year-end festivities and is available only for H-P loans taken from Maybank or Public Bank (terms and conditions apply). The chart below shows the special offers for the different variants.

Besides the offers for the Triton, there are also special offers for the Outlander SUV which is available with 2.0-litre or 2.4-litre petrol engines. Cash rebates of up to RM4,000 are offered plus 2-Years of Free Scheduled Maintenance and RM2,000, and 2-Years of Free Scheduled Maintenance, respectively.

For those who want something smaller, there’s the ASX. Though in the market for some time now, it is still good value for money with prices starting from RM118,866. 4WD and 2WD versions are available and if you buy one during the promotion period, you can get a cash rebate of up to RM12,000.

Proton/Bank Rakyat offer special financing packages to graduates and government employees

Buying a new car is a better idea than buying a used one. You get not just a brand new car, never driven before but also a warranty to cover defects over a number of years and (depending on the company), free scheduled service which saves you money. But for many, even though the gap has narrowed, it is still not easy for them to commit to taking a H-P (hire-purchase) loan to buy a new car.

Up to 100% financing
To help those who want to own a new Proton, specifically fresh graduates and government employees, Proton and Bank Rakyat are collaborating to offer special financial packages that can provide up to 100% financing. To be eligible for the packages, the applicants must be Malaysians who are new graduates aged between 20 to 30 years, or government employees aged between 18 to 60 years old.

There are two special packages, which run until December 31, 2019: An-Naqlu 1 – which offers 90% financing starting at an attractive rate of 2.88% per annum; and An-Naqlu 2 – which offers 100% financing starting at 3.30% per annum. Models available for these packages are the Persona, Iriz, Exora and Saga.

Special service and insurance schemes
“Under this special scheme, Bank Rakyat offers customers easy financing approval, while Proton makes it more attractive with a free service package of up to 2 years, depending on the models that they choose,” said Fazli Hisham Shukor, Director of Corporate Sales at Proton.

Proton service — *Customers will also get free scheduled service for up to 2 years (depending on the model chosen), which helps to save money too.*

On top of this, customers will also benefit from an enhanced insurance package. Designed with Etiqa Takaful and Zurich Takaful, the Proton Insurance Programme provides customers special coverage which includes key care cover, flood relief allowance and also all driver coverage, including a guarantee of zero excess charges for Proton vehicles up to 10 years old.

SDAC-Ford’s way of celebrating Merdeka/Malaysia Day gives customers extra

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) doesn’t let a year go by without making the Merdeka/Malaysia Day celebrations special for its customers. This year, the company’s sales promotion focusses on its Ranger model line with extras for those who buy and register a new vehicle during the promotion period.

The extras for 2019
From August 1 to September 30 2019, customers who purchase either the Ranger WildTrak or Ranger Raptor will enjoy free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years. Additionally, they will receive a complimentary PETRONAS Gift Card pre-loaded with RM1,000 for purchases at PETRONAS stations nationwide.

Customers who prefer the Ranger WildTrak and become owners during this promotional period will receive a rebate of RM3,000, reducing the H-P loan they take and therefore lowering the monthly instalments.
