Ford Ranger Getaways Kembali Untuk Sesi Latihan dan Pengembaraan Off-Road

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), pengedar tunggal Ford di Malaysia, telah menyediakan siri baharu bagi pengembaraan off-road dan sesi latihan Ford Ranger Getaways untuk pemilik Ranger dan Ranger Raptor.

Acara pertama yang bakal berlangsung ialah Latihan Off-Road 4×4 Ranger dan Cabaran Rakit Air bertempat di Kampung Ulu Slim, Perak pada 20 April 2024 ini. Selepas itu, Latihan Kemahiran 4WD Sarawak 4×4 Training Academy (Sar4Trac) pula akan diadakan, yang bertempat di Kampung Beriang, Bau, Sarawak pada 27 April 2024.

Anjuran semula latihan 4WD tahap permulaan tersebut adalah susulan maklum balas positif yang diterima daripada pemilik Ranger dan Raptor dalam sesi sebelum ini, termasuklah Latihan Kemahiran 4WD Pemula M4TREC yang telah diadakan pada Mac lalu. Ramai peserta siri terdahulu sangat menghargai arahan dan latihan praktikal yang berkualiti dan seronok menguji sendiri kemahiran pemanduan mereka dalam persekitaran yang terkawal.

Khas untuk pemilik yang masih baharu dengan pemanduan 4×4, begitu juga untuk mereka yang berpengalaman yang ingin mempertajamkan kemahiran tersebut, Latihan Kemahiran 4WD M4TREC memberikan pengetahuan dan teknik yang diperlukan oleh peserta untuk pemanduan off-road yang selamat. Mereka juga akan lebih memahami dan membiasakan diri dengan kenderaan masing-masing untuk membolehkan potensi penuh Ranger dan Ranger Raptor diteroka dan dimanfaatkan.

Latihan Off-Road 4×4 Ranger dan Cabaran Rakit Air adalah acara yang penuh adrenalin yang akan berlangsung di Slim River, Perak. Ia menjanjikan pengalaman seharian yang seronok berlatarkan landskap alam semula jadi yang menawan di Malaysia. Acara tersebut akan dimulakan dengan latihan off-road 4×4 yang mesra pemula sebelum diteruskan dengan aktiviti rakit air di sepanjang Slim River.

Dibuka kepada empat orang untuk satu kenderaan, Latihan Off-Road 4×4 Ranger dan Cabaran Rakit Air ini akan dimulakan secara konvoi dari Ford Ara Damansara ke lokasi rakit air di Kampung Ulu Slim, Perak. Di sepanjang perjalanan, peserta akan menguji kemahiran asas 4×4 mereka dalam laluan 4×4 untuk pemula di bawah seliaan jurulatih, yang mana mereka boleh mempelajari lebih banyak tentang kemampuan Ranger mereka.

Latihan Kemahiran 4WD Sar4Trac pula terbuka untuk dua orang bagi setiap kenderaan, dan direka untuk semua pemilik yang mahu mempertingkatkan kemahiran pengendalian Ranger dan Raptor mereka ke tahap yang lebih tinggi.

Ia direka untuk peminat off-road yang ingin mempertingkatkan kemahiran mengendalikan kenderaan mereka di permukaan yang lebih mencabar. Ia juga berguna untuk mereka yang baru berjinak-jinak dengan aktiviti ini, yang mahu mempelajari asas pemanduan dan keselamatan off-road. Pemandu yang sudah pakar juga boleh meraih manfaat daripada latihan ini untuk keperluan pekerjaan mereka.

Pertama sekali, peserta diperlukan untuk menghadiri sesi taklimat keselamatan, asas pemanduan 4×4 dan latihan halangan yang akan mereka lalui.

Di bawah pemerhatian dan seliaan jurulatih yang berpakar, peserta kemudiannya akan melakukan latihan amali sebenar bagi semua teknik asas tersebut untuk mengatasi halangan yang ada. Halangan yang menanti termasuklah Dirt Track, Frame Twister, Mud & Gavel, Rutted Track, Ditch, Hill Ascent, Hill Descent dan Water Wading.

Semua peserta juga akan menerima sijil tamat latihan setelah selesai sesi berkenaan.

Selain daripada aktiviti yang dirancang, seperti Latihan Off-Road 4×4 Ranger dan Cabaran Rakit Air serta Latihan Kemahiran 4WD Sar4Trac, ada juga aktiviti lain yang boleh disertai oleh pemilik untuk mereka pergi sendiri. Ford Ranger Getaways Returns With More Thrills and Adventures!

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles for the Malaysian market, has announced a new series of Ford Ranger Getaways – an event specially designed for and filled with off-roading adventures and training sessions for Ranger and Ranger Raptor owners.

The first getaway is the Ranger 4×4 Off-Road Course and Water Rafting Thrills experience in Kampung Ulu Slim, Perak, which is happening on 20 April 2024. Up next is the Sarawak 4×4 Training Academy (Sar4Trac) Beginner 4WD Course in Kampung Barieng, Bau, Sarawak, which takes place on 27 April 2024.

The beginner-level 4WD courses return following positive responses from Ranger and Ranger Raptor owners who have had past training experiences, including the recently completed M4TREC Beginner 4WD Course in March. Attendees from past trainings appreciated the quality of instructions, the practicality of the sessions and the thrill of putting their skills to the test in a controlled environment.

Made ideal for owners who are new to 4×4 driving as well as experienced drivers looking to hone their skills, the M4TREC Beginner 4WD Course provided participants with the necessary safe off-roading knowledge and techniques. Those who attended also gained deeper insights and familiarity with their vehicle to help them reach the full potential of their Ranger and Ranger Raptors.

The Ranger 4×4 Off-Road Course and Water Rafting Thrills getaway is an adrenaline-fueled rafting adventure along Slim River in Perak, which promises a full day of excitement set against the scenic beauty of Malaysia’s natural landscape. Adventurers will navigate a beginner-friendly 4×4 off-road course before experiencing the thrill of whitewater rafting along the Slim River.

Open to four people per vehicle, the Ranger 4×4 Off-Road Course and Water Rafting Thrills getaway kicks off with a convoy from Ford Ara Damansara to the rafting starting point in Kampung Ulu Slim. Along the way, participants will test their basic 4×4 skills on a beginner-friendly off-roading course under the guidance of expert instructors, during which they will discover more about the capabilities of their Rangers.

On the other hand, the Sar4Trac Beginner 4WD Course is open to two people per vehicle and is designed for all owners who want to maximise their Rangers and Raptors and take their off-roading skills to the next level.

It is tailored for off-road enthusiasts seeking to improve their skills and handle their vehicles in challenging terrains. It is also ideal for new owners looking to learn the basics of off-road driving and safety. Professional drivers can also benefit from the course by honing their skills for work purposes.

Participants will first attend a briefing on safety, the basics of 4×4 driving and the obstacle courses that they will be tackling.

Under the close guidance of instructors, participants will then put into practice the basic techniques for navigating the obstacles in a hands-on session. These obstacles include Dirt Track, Frame Twister, Mud & Gravel, Rutted Track, Ditch, Hill Ascent, Hill Descent and Water Wading.

All attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the training session.

Owners of Ford Ranger or Ranger Raptor cars in Sabah can now register for the Ranger Training Experience, which is scheduled to begin on July 23, 2023, at the Likas Complex Area in Kota Kinabalu from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Head For the Mountains On Next Ford Ranger Getaways Event

The Ford Ranger has a go-anywhere capability while also being just as practical for daily transport around the city. Owners of the popular ‘Built Ford Tough’ pick-up truck have been able to create their own adventures and explore many areas of our country with their friends and family.

This May, the Ford Ranger Getaways organised by SDAC-Ford have the mountains as destinations for weekend adventures. There are two events to choose from – A Trip Through Nature at Gunung Jerai on May 6, and Chase the Sunrise in Cameron Highlands on May 27/28. The latter event will be the first overnight trip in this year’s Ford Ranger Getaways series.

There are various packages during the year and coming up on March 26 is a 1-day guided session with trained driving instructors covering tarmac and off-road driving scenarios. Held in the district of Sepang in Selangor, it is designed for Ranger and Ranger Raptor owners.

During the session, they will learn valuable tips and tricks on seating and steering methods. They will also have hands-on experience navigating around an autocross course on tarmac, a 4×4 off-road course and a ‘Baja course’ that will showcase the true prowess of the Ranger Raptor, Ford’s performance truck. And to show the high performance of the Ranger Raptor, the participants will be taken around the Baja course with the instructors at high speed. Baja is a region in Southern California where desert races have been held for a long time.

Ranger owners will go through the same modules as the Ranger Raptor experience except for a dirt cornering and drifting course in place of the Baja course and a drifting hot lap with the instructors. Training on both days will begin at 8:30 am from the Sepang International Circuit. A Certificate of Completion will be presented to all participants at the end of the day.

Most people who buy a pick-up truck are the active types who enjoy going out into the countryside and exploring our beautiful country. For those who own a Ford Ranger, there’s now an even better way to enjoy their truck with the ‘Ford Ranger Getaways’. This is new brand experiential programme offered by Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (SDAC-Ford) for enthusiasts to experience the ‘Ranger Life’ with other owners. The program also allows them to discover the potential of the Ranger themselves through specially designed excursions.

An industry first, the programme has been crafted based on customer feedback, which underlined their desire for wanting to network with like-minded individuals, expanding their lifestyle activities to enhance work-life balance, and spending more quality time with family and friends.
