Jaecoo J7 Akan Dilancarkan Tidak Lama Lagi, Inilah Butiran Mengenainya

Jaecoo, sebuah jenama di bawah Chery, baru-baru ini memperlihatkan SUV bandar luar premiumnya, J7. Jenama ini sedang membuat kehadiran dalam pasaran automotif yang sangat kompetitif dengan falsafah “Born Global”, menekankan komitmennya terhadap prestasi dan standard global.

J7 mempunyai dimensi panjang 4,500mm, lebar 1,865mm, dan tinggi 1,680mm, dengan jarak roda 2,672mm, menjadikannya sedikit lebih kecil daripada Range Rover Sport generasi ketiga. Ia juga menampilkan rim aloi aluminium berukuran 19 inci yang terinspirasi oleh Aurora.

Dipromosikan sebagai SUV bandar luar yang luar biasa dalam kategori premium, J7 membanggakan ketinggian ground clearance sebanyak 200mm, sudut pendekatan sebanyak 21 darjah, sudut berlepas sebanyak 29 darjah, dan keupayaan menerobos air sebanyak 600mm. Bagi mereka yang menitikberatkan kepraktisan, J7 menawarkan ruang beg yang luas sebesar 412 liter, daya tunda maksimum sebanyak 1,300kg, dan daya muat atap sebanyak 75kg.

Menurut penilaian WLTP, penggunaan bahan api adalah sebanyak 7.48 liter setiap 100km.

Jaecoo, a brand under Chery, has just shown us its premium urban off-road SUV, the J7. The brand is making its mark in the fiercely competitive automotive market with its “Born Global” philosophy, emphasising its commitment to global performance and standards.

The J7 has dimensions of 4,500mm in length, 1,865mm in width, and 1,680mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,672mm, making it slightly smaller than the third-generation Range Rover Sport. It also features 19-inch Aurora-inspired aluminium alloy wheels.

Promoted as an outstanding urban off-road SUV in the premium category, the J7 boasts a ground clearance of 200 mm, an approach angle of 21 degrees, a departure angle of 29 degrees and a wading depth capability of 600mm. For those prioritising practicality, the J7 offers a generous boot space measuring 412 litres, a maximum towing capacity of 1,300kg, and a roof load capacity of 75kg.

The available features encompass LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen measuring 14.8 inches, wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, a hands-free powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, rear air-conditioning vents, a powered driver’s seat, front seats with heating and ventilation. The transmission shifter has an avant-garde fighter-inspired design. It also has a safety provision of up to 10 airbags, and an extensive array of advanced driver assistance systems such as:

The heart of the J7 is a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine with 194hp and 290Nm of torque. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an intelligent 4WD system, the J7 achieves a 0-100km/h acceleration in eight seconds. According to WLTP ratings, the fuel consumption stands at 7.48 litres per 100km.

Chery Melancarkan Sedan Plug-in Hibrid Fengyun A8 di China

Chery secara rasmi telah melancarkan sedan plug-in hibrid Fengyun A8 di China. Dijual pada harga antara 119,900 hingga 149,900 yuan (kira-kira RM78 ribu hingga RM97 ribu), Fengyun A8 adalah sebahagian daripada siri kenderaan tenaga baru Chery. Diposisikan sebagai sedan kompak, ia menawarkan empat pilihan model kepada pengguna.

Ciri-ciri utama Chery Fengyun A8 termasuk gril trapezoid besar yang bersambung dengan lampu hadapan di bahagian depan dan rekabentuk lampu belakang terangkat di atas bonet pada bahagian belakang yang menyerupai Audi A8. Chery Launches The Fengyun A8 Plug-in Hybrid – 355hp, 1400km Range

Chery has officially launched its Fengyun A8 plug-in hybrid sedan in China. Priced between 119,900 to 149,900 yuan (approximately RM78k to RM97k), the Fengyun A8 is part of Chery’s new energy vehicle series. Positioned as a compact sedan, it offers consumers four model options.

Key features of the Chery Fengyun A8 include a large trapezoidal grille connected to the headlights in the front and an upturned tail design above the trunk at the rear that has a resemblance to the Audi A8. The interior boasts a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 12.3-inch central control screen, and a four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The cockpit is powered by Chery’s Lion 5.0 operating system, with high-end models equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

Powering the Chery Fengyun A8 is Chery’s Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system, comprising a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The total power output is 355hp and 530Nm of torque, with an acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h in 7 seconds.

The car’s 18.3 kWh lithium battery pack provides a pure electric cruising range of 127km (CLTC) and a total range of over 1,400km (WLTC). The fast-charging capability allows the battery to be fully charged from 30% to 80% in 19 minutes, while slow charging takes at least three hours.

The lineup comes standard with navigation, OTA updates, Bluetooth, remote control through the app, and karaoke functions. Both CarPlay and HiCar are supported. The advanced driving assistance system, available only in high-end models, includes features such as front and rear collision warning, automatic emergency braking, full-speed range adaptive cruise control, and lane merge assist.

Chery Malaysia Bakal Lancarkan e-SUV Omoda E5 Pada Bulan Mac

Chery Malaysia bersiap sedia untuk melancarkan kenderaan elektrik (EV) pertama mereka, iaitu kereta utiliti sukan elektrik (e-SUV) Omoda E5, pada bulan Mac. Pelancaran rasmi dijangka akan berlaku sebelum atau semasa bulan Ramadan, tertakluk kepada rancangan pelancaran model tersebut.

Pengumuman ini dibuat semasa acara pengenalan Chery Eco Run 2024, yang dijadualkan pada 7 Januari di Dataran Wawasan Putrajaya. Larian ini, tersedia dalam kategori 5km dan 10km, dianjurkan oleh Jom Run dan bertujuan untuk menarik lebih dari 3,000 peserta.

-Sistem Bantuan Pemandu Lanjutan (ADAS) dengan tujuh belas fungsi, termasuk pemantauan titik buta, amaran undur, dan pengereman kecemasan automatik

Omoda E5 mempunyai reka bentuk luaran bergaya silang, menawarkan badan bersudut dan wajah depan yang futuristik. Ia dijangka akan tersedia dalam sekurang-kurangnya tujuh warna luaran dan tiga pilihan reka bentuk sepadan warna interior.

Harga yang dijangka untuk Omoda E5 adalah dalam lingkungan RM150,000 hingga RM160,000, menempatkannya secara kompetitif di pasaran EV Malaysia.

Chery Malaysia Set to Launch First Electric Vehicle in March

Chery Malaysia is gearing up to launch its first electric vehicle (EV), the Omoda E5 electric sports utility vehicle (e-SUV), in March. The official debut is expected to occur sometime before or during the Ramadan period, pending the model’s launch plans.

This announcement came during the introduction of the Chery Eco Run 2024 event, scheduled for January 7 at Dataran Wawasan Putrajaya. The run, available in 5km and 10km categories, is organized by Jom Run and aims to attract over 3,000 participants.

The Omoda E5 boasts a cross-styling design for its exterior, offering a streamlined body and a futuristic front face. It is expected to be available in at least seven exterior colours and three interior colour-matching design choices.

The anticipated pricing for the Omoda E5 ranges from RM150,000 to RM160,000, positioning it competitively in the Malaysian EV market.

Chery Malaysia Delivers First Locally Built Models

Chery Malaysia announced the successful completion and delivery of the first Completely Knocked Down (CKD) cars, the Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8Pro.

The handover event took place at the Inokom CKD Plant in Kulim, Kedah. The symbolic key was passed from Mr. Sui Keng Huat, Managing Director of Inokom Corporation, to Mr. Xu Jing Zhong, Plant Operation Director of Chery Malaysia.

Chery Re-Enters Malaysia With RM170 Million Investment

To spearhead its salvo at the ASEAN market, Chery has selected Malaysia as its regional hub for Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles. This is a significant turning point for Malaysia’s automotive industry, where a known Chinese OEM has a longstanding presence.

For its growth plans in Malaysia, the Chinese automaker has agreed to invest an initial capital of RM170 million.

According to Tengku Zafrul, it is anticipated that the ASEAN EV market would expand by approximately 33% annually, reaching US$2.7 billion (RM12.6 billion) by 2027. From the standpoint of the manufacturing sector, mass electrification in the automotive industry fits in well with our national ESG and net zero strategy. To that end, Malaysia’s attempts to decarbonize its economy will be aided by the release of Chery’s new electric vehicle (EV) models, which will also help expand the country’s EV market.

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Launched: 256hp, 390Nm – RM159,800

Chery is no longer the brand we knew of from 20 years ago. The company is vastly different and has five major global R&D centres with a team of over 7,000 people actively conducting research and development.

Besides that, Chery now has 10 major factories, 1,500 overseas service outlets and boasts 11.3 million vehicles sold worlwide.

The company is obviously much different now and has the most advanced manufacturing techniques to attain excellent quality.

On the Malaysian front, Chery has launched the Omoda 5 and the Tiggo 8 Pro and we were taken away by the pricing! For this article we will focus on the Tiggo 8 Pro. This one aims to take on the big boys, such as the Proton X90 and Kia Sorento.

Unlike the Omoda 5, the Tiggo 8 Pro comes in a single luxury variant and we are not complaining as this single variant offers more than enough.
