TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has scored a first in the local auto industry with its move to e-commerce. The company, which represents Renault in Malaysia, has launched the new Renault E-Store on its website at www.renault.com.my .
Adding on from never having to visit a physical showroom with the Renault 3-hour test drive offering via GoCar, customers can now enjoy ultimate convenience and a hassle-free way to buy or take a subscription plan for a Renault. This fully digital process eliminates the time-consuming and tedious process that car-buyers have had to go through for decades.
Now, with the Renault E-Store, they can shop from the comfort of their home or office – just as they do shopping for other good online which is a growing trend nowadays. They don’t have to feel pressured by over-attentive salespersons and they can learn more about the model they are interested in at their convenience. They can also arrange for a test-drive and TCEC says that the process extends right to delivery of the registered vehicle.
To celebrate the launch of the new Renault E-Store, TCEC is extending a ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ offer to the first 50 customers who make their purchase online. Each of these early bird online customers will receive a free 6-month subscription (transferable among family members) for the Captur crossover.
Besides the Captur, the Koleos and Megane R.S. are also available for purchase at the Renault E-Store.

Even in standard form in the showroom, the Renault Captur stands out from the typical compact crossover SUVs with its chic styling. Now, for those who want still more distinctiveness, TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has prepared a limited number of units as special editions of the Captur.
While having most of the specifications and Easy Life feature of the standard version, the Special Edition Captur Trophy, as it is known, gets some exclusive additions. The Vibrant Orange Trophy exterior colour, inspired by colour cues from the new signature Orange Tonic colour of the latest Megane R.S. (below left) is one of them.
There’s also a sporty front and rear bumper spoiler in gunmetal colour, 3D chequered flag decals and, for added convenience, a powered tailgate which automatically opens when a foot is placed under the rear bumper.
No extra cost to be a bit more exclusive
The Captur Trophy is available at no extra cost from the standard version so it goes for RM107,980 (on-the-road inclusive of SST, without insurance, for Peninsular Malaysia and private individual registration only). This means that it’s a really great deal which you don’t want to miss and you have to act quickly as there are only limited units.

The Captur Trophy is also available on Renault Subscription. Under the Fixed Plan, customers pay from RM1,499 monthly for the 2-year subscription package and RM1,699 monthly for the 1-year plan. These monthly fees are inclusive of roadtax, insurance premiums and regular maintenance fees.
There is also the Switch Prime Plan where customers can enjoy the Captur Trophy as their everyday vehicle – in addition to a total of 4 months of access to the Renault family of models such as the Megane R.S. and Koleos SUV.

1.8-litre performance
The Limited Edition Captur Trophy has the same upgraded EURO 6-compliant turbocharged TCe 120 petrol engine with a start-stop function that delivers the performance and acceleration comparable to a normally-aspirated 1.8-litre engine. Mated to the 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission, the engine offers peak torque of 205 Nm from as low as 2000 rpm and can travel up to 16.9 kms/litre, it is claimed. An ECO Mode contributes to up to 10% additional fuel savings.
Easy Life ownership experience
Renault firmly believes that the concept of ‘Easy Life’ should be experienced across all its products and throughout the customer’s ownership experience. To this end, all Capturs, including the Captur Trophy, also come with the Renault Honour trade-in programme. Through this programme for vehicles distributed by TCEC, customers will enjoy a guaranteed future value should they choose to trade-in their Captur for any new Renault model in the future. This is assurance that Renault is addressing depreciation concerns, especially in the first few years where the depreciation is the greatest.
The Renault Honour programme is available for a limited time only and customers are encouraged to confirm their participation as soon as they can.

Renault’s flagship D-segment SUV – the Koleos – has been refreshed with a more distinctive exterior styling and enhancements to an interior that is already one of the most spacious and comfortable in its class.
Now available for booking at the showrooms of TC Euro Cars, the latest version of the Koleos will continue to be offered in two variants: a base version and a more extensively equipped Signature version.
This being a midcycle update, the overall dimensions are unchanged (2705 mm for the wheelbase within a total length of 4672 mm) but the revised exterior design gives a more aggressive and muscular look, with Renault’s Pure Vision LED headlamps available on both variants. Customers can choose either a Universal White or Black Metallic exterior finish.
Key enhancements include new front and rear bumpers with full-width chrome detailing, and new alloy wheels (19 inches diameter for the Koleos Signature). Both variants are now equipped with the convenient hands-free power tailgate which is height-adjustable according to individual needs.
Equipped Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the occupants can now interface whatever is on their smartphone with the car’s 8.7-inch R-LINK2 multimedia system.
Power adjustment for seats are standard for both front seats while rear passenger seats have a 2-step adjustable seat configuration for enhanced comfort. An electric panoramic sunroof (Koleos Signature only) adds a premium touch while enhancing cabin ambience.
The Koleos imported to Malaysia is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine mated to an X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission. This efficient and proven engine can produce up to 171 ps/226 Nm while going up to 12.3 kms/litre, according to factory tests.
The new Koleos prices are from RM179,888 for the standard variant and RM189,888 for the Koleos Signature (on-the-road inclusive of SST, without insurance, for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia). Each new unit comes with a 5-year full manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage. Owners also enjoy a free scheduled maintenance service package for the first 5 years or maximum of 100,000 kms.
During the month of November 2019, TCEC is offering up to RM15,000 for trade-ins on top of the vehicle assessment amount. Alternatively, they can choose the Renault Subscription scheme which offers freedom and flexibility of ownership. There’s no commitment to a long-term loan tenure, rigid lock-ins and vehicle depreciation costs are also non-issues.
For decades, the traditional way of buying a car has required a down-payment of a certain percentage and then repayment of the loan – with interest included – every month for an agreed number of years. However, many people no longer want to be tied down by such a commitment and for them, TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, offers the Renault Subscription scheme.
Two plans are available for the Renault Subscription scheme which started with the Captur and Koleos models and is now also available for the latest high-performance Megane R.S. 280 Cup.
The Fixed Plan is a more structured plan, available for short periods of 1,2 or 3 years, with a monthly usage rate that covers annual roadtax, insurance premium and regular servicing costs. This plan starts from RM3,999 a month for the Megane R.S. 280 Cup.
Then there’s also the Switch Plan, offering more freedom and flexibility as buyers are given access to other Renault models with no change to the previously announced rates. The Switch Plan offers the Captur with the option of utilising both the Koleos and Megane R.S. within the subscription period.
Furthermore, the Switch Plan comes with no mileage caps, no cancellation penalties and fees are inclusive of insurance, annual roadtax and regular servicing costs. Replacement of wear and tear items for the Captur are also included under this plan.

Following the launch of the new Renault Megane R.S. 280 Cup EDC by TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the Renault Sport Track Day made a comeback with a twist – it was run as a night session at the Sepang International Circuit. During the session, a total of 30 Renault Sports owners tested their personal skills and car performance as they tried to complete as many laps as possible within the allocated time.
With safety being a top priority for TCEC and Renault, only experienced drivers were allowed to drive on the track by themselves while first-time track drivers were accompanied by a professional instructor.
TCEC also conducted a timed run of the Megane R.S. 280 Cup EDC. The new model bettered the previously recorded lap time of the Megane R.S. 265 Cup by 3 seconds – 2:38 vs 2:41.
About the Megane R.S. 280 Cup
Having set a benchmark in the world of high-performance hatchbacks, the Megane R.S. is officially back in Malaysia in its latest form. Available with the Cup chassis, it now comes with a 6-speed automatic Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available as an option.
New features and technologies include the 4CONTROL 4-wheel steering system – a world first-in-segment technology that further improves cornering efficiency; 4 rally-inspired hydraulic compression stops to all shock absorbers; a new 4-cylinder 1.8-litre turbocharged engine that delivers maximum power of 280 ps/390 Nm; and a new Torsen mechanical and limited-slip differential.
Another new feature is the 5-door variant in place of the previous 3-door one. The new signature colour is Orange Tonic but if you don’t like it, you can still ask for the classic Liquid Yellow finish.
The new Megane R.S. 280 with a manual gearbox retails at RM279,888 while the EDC-equipped variant will require RM299,888 (both prices without insurance included). Each new unit from TCEC comes with a 3-year/100,000-km warranty (whichever comes first).

TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, today launched the new Renault Captur, Europe’s best-selling crossover, which features a sportier, more assertive exterior with new bi-toned colours and an interior further refined for enhanced quality.
The new Renault Captur builds on the model’s original success, including its striking two-toned finish. In addition to the popular Flame Red (body) / Diamond Black (roof) colour option, the new Captur is now available in three new body colours: Atacama Orange, Ocean Blue and Pearl White body colours, all paired with a Diamond Black roof.
